Songkran Festival at Nongnuch Elephant Camp Pattaya

Elephants playing Songkran in PattayaSuan Nongnuch Elephant Camp, Pattaya opened their gates today for the first day of the Songkran Festival which runs from 10th-15th of this month, with the enormous beautiful elephants showering tourists with water.

Suang Nongnuch Pattaya Garden Director,  Dr. Kamphol Tonsatja assigned general manager, Mr. Manit Narinrak  to the elephant department in order to organize and manage the smooth running of Songkran, where the main attraction will be, elephants showering the tourist with water.

Pattaya’s “Wan Lai” Songkran Events Schedule Announced

Songkran in PattayaPattaya City Hall recently announced the official schedule for the upcoming “Wan Lai” event of the Songkran Festival in Pattaya from the 18th to the 20th of April. Whilst an invitation has been extended to both local and foreign residents and tourists, administrators have asked the population, in a safety conscious statement, to refrain from using powerful hoses or PVC pipe canons at this year’s event.

Pattaya Music Festival 2010 Announced

Pattaya Music Festival 2010 posterThe grand Pattaya Music Festival is back in town to entertain music lovers. This is an unrivalled opportunity to enjoy a weekend of listening and dancing to beautiful music performed by more than 100 musicians. Fun awaits everyone, on the weekend of March 19th-21st.

According to Pattaya’s city hall it was revived to lighten the mood to give residents and tourists all the more reason to smile and enjoy the resort. The event is also part of a wider nation-wide campaign “Amazing Thailand Amazing Value” managed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand to deliver events and value-for-money features to Thai and international travellers.

Pattaya’s 2nd International Bed Race an Outstanding Success

Pattaya International Bed RaceThe organizers & sponsors of the 2nd Pattaya International Bed Race were delighted at the huge success of this charity event after putting in so much hard work. International media organizations & teams were involved, so that the end result has been the raising of well over 300,000 baht (approximately $10,000 US).

PDN interviewed leading Rotary Club of Pattaya official Mr. Niels, who is widely known as one of the founders and a moving force behind this charity event. He stated that there was more involvement this year by Pattaya’s various clubs, business organisations, local sponsors, and even Pattaya City Hall.
